AI Agents as Team Members

In BFF, AI agents aren’t sidebar chatbots — they’re first-class team members with their own profiles, schedules, task assignments, and SOPs. They appear on the same dashboard as your human employees.

Creating an AI Agent

  1. Navigate to AI Agents in the sidebar
  2. Click ”+ Add Agent”
  3. Configure the agent:
    • Name — Give it a recognizable name (e.g., “Atlas”, “Nova”)
    • Description — What this agent does
    • Avatar — Optional image for visual identification
  4. Save the agent

Agent Configuration

After creating the agent, configure its capabilities:

API Credentials

  • An API key is generated automatically
  • Use this key for the agent to authenticate with BFF’s API
  • You can rotate the key from the agent’s settings

Task Assignments

  • Assign tasks just like you would for a human team member
  • The agent can access all linked SOPs and Work Instructions

Schedule

  • AI agents can be scheduled on the same calendar as humans
  • Schedule them for off-hours, overnight shifts, or continuous operation

Where Agents Appear

AI agents show up everywhere humans do:

  • Team list — with an AI badge indicator
  • Schedule view — with their own time blocks
  • Task assignments — in the assignee list
  • Workflow steps — as step executors

Key concept: The Liquid Workforce means you can write an SOP once, assign it to a human today, and hot-swap it to an AI tomorrow — seamlessly.
