Dashboard Layout
The BFF interface has three main areas: the sidebar on the left, a top bar, and the main content area.
The Sidebar
At the top of the sidebar sits the company switcher — if you belong to multiple companies (or have Partner Portal access), use it to change context. Below it, Dashboard stands alone, followed by five collapsible groups. Items marked admin-only appear only for company admins:
| Group | Pages |
|---|---|
| Ops | Tasks, Schedules, Calendars, Schedule Templates (admin-only), Workflows |
| Docs | Policies, SOPs, Work Instructions, Training, Required Reading |
| Team | People, AI Agents, Agent Activity (admin-only), Time Off |
| Settings | Configurations (admin-only), Roles (admin-only), Archive, Preferences |
| Pings | Notifications, Alerts |
A few orientation notes:
- Docs is the controlled-document hub — all four tiers (Policy, SOP, Work Instruction, Training) plus Required Reading assignments live here
- People is where you manage team members (humans and AI agents)
- Pings is the home for notifications and Impact Cascade Alerts — a badge on Notifications shows your unread count
- Roles manages Company Roles — job-title labels, not permissions
Platform Operators also see a Platform Admin link at the very bottom of the sidebar.
You can collapse the sidebar with the toggle arrow to gain screen space — collapsed items show their names on hover.
Partner Portal Mode
Partner Admins can switch the sidebar into Partner Portal mode via the switcher. It shows a flat list instead of groups: Overview, Companies, Team, Scheduling, Time Off, Referral, Commissions.
Top Bar
The top bar provides:
- Global Search (⌘K) — search across the company from anywhere
- Profile menu — your avatar, with access to preferences and sign out
Main Content Area
The central area displays the active page. Most pages include filtering, sorting, and quick-action buttons in a toolbar at the top.
Pro tip: Use ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open global search and jump anywhere instantly — it’s usually faster than expanding sidebar groups.
