Notification Center
BFF’s notification system keeps you informed about everything that matters — task changes, cascade alerts, time-off approvals, and more. Notifications arrive in real-time via WebSocket.
Viewing Notifications
- Click the bell icon in the top bar
- See a dropdown of your latest notifications
- Unread notifications show a badge count
- Click any notification to navigate to the relevant item
Notification Types
| Type | When You Receive It |
|---|---|
| Task Assignment | A task is assigned to you or removed |
| Cascade Alert | A change affects something you’re responsible for |
| Time-Off | Your time-off request is approved/denied |
| SOP Update | An SOP linked to your tasks is updated |
| Schedule Change | Your time blocks are modified |
| Workflow Status | A workflow you’re part of needs attention |
| Team Update | A team member change affects your work |
Managing Notifications
Marking as Read
- Click a notification to mark it as read
- Or use “Mark All as Read” to clear the badge
Navigating from Notifications
Each notification links directly to the relevant entity — clicking takes you to the task, SOP, or alert that triggered it.
Real-Time Updates
BFF uses WebSocket connections to push notifications instantly. You don’t need to refresh the page — new notifications appear automatically with a subtle animation and optional sound.
Tip: Keep an eye on the notification badge throughout the day. Cascade alerts may require immediate action to prevent process disruptions.
