What is the Archive?

The Archive is where retired tasks live. Archiving records that a task was completed or paused for a specific team member over a specific period, and removes the task from active lists and schedules — without deleting anything.

Navigate to Archive in the sidebar (Settings group). Everyone can view the archive; restoring is admin-only.

Archiving a Task

From the tasks area, choose Archive Task and fill in:

  1. Team member — who the record is for (the task’s assignee or owner)
  2. StatusCompleted or Paused
  3. Period — the start and end dates the record covers
  4. Reason (optional) — e.g., “Client paused the engagement through Q3”

Confirm with “Archive Task”. The task is retired from active lists and schedules, and the entry appears in the Archive.

Reading the Archive

Each entry shows:

ColumnShows
StatusCompleted (green) or Paused (amber)
TaskThe task name with its color
Team MemberWho the record is attributed to
ClientThe company involved
PeriodThe covered date range, plus when it was archived
ReasonThe note entered at archive time

Use the search box to find entries by task, team member, client, or reason, and the status dropdown to filter Completed vs. Paused.

Restoring

Company admins see a “Restore” button on each entry. Restoring reactivates the task — it returns to active lists and can be scheduled and assigned again — and removes the archive entry.

Tip: Archive rather than delete. A paused client engagement archived with a reason and period is a clean record you can restore in one click when work resumes — a deleted task is just gone.
